Creative Team May Inspiration

Grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and relax because this might be a lengthy post.... I have 2 full weeks to share with you and a little extra diddy that I made to go in my albums. Ready? Here..... we... go....

Let's mix things up a bit and start with my something extra. I love the page dividers that Becky sells with the Project Life, but I wanted to add a little something to them. What better to add than pictures? So I added pictures taken during the month to the corresponding divider. I started with January, we had family photos taken so I had a large amount of photos I wanted to somehow incorporate into my Project Life album and this seemed to be the perfect solution. I ended up choosing 10 photos and resized them in photoshop to 3x2. I adhered the photos on the front side first and then using the original punched holes as a guide, punched new holes through the photos. I then adhered the remaining photos aligning them with the front photos and did my final hole punch.

EDITED: The adhesive that I use, including adhering my photos to the dividers is:
Glue Arts - Glue Glider Pro - Perma Tac - Continuous Adhesive Applicator
Glue Arts - Glue Glider Pro - Perma Tac - Continuous Adhesive Refill

I love the adhesive it has worked great for the dividers and I have had no problems with the edges lifting. When you run out of the adhesive you simply unload the cartridge and pop in a new refill... so simple.... you don't have to worry or fiddle with threading any contraption to get your adhesive to work.... I love that....
Becky Higgins Divider - I added a 3x12 photo Scrapbook Dividers
After putting January's pictures on the divider I decided that 10 pictures on that small of a space was way to much work and way to busy looking for my taste....so for February I went SIMPLE!!! One Large 3x12 photo Violet on the front and Lilykate on the back.... in the wool red coats.....perfect! For March, on the front side there is a 3x12 of Lilykate jumping in the air, and on the back I actually used part of one the Project Life Digital Templates and cut the rest of it off. I used a Cobalt Digital Patterned Paper for the Background. For April, I did a 3x12 picture on both the front and back.
Here are a few shots so you can get an idea of what they look like in the album

DIY Memory Game

Anyone who has Project Life knows you get tons of supplies in that little white box. Chances are, you have some extra cards. Right?

This is a memory game that I made using filler cards from the Amber Edition of Project Life, and the cards are stored in a 3x4 journaling card box. When I was a little girl I loved to play Memory. I can recall countless hours of fun playing the game with my parents and siblings. I wanted to something fun and small to take with us while we are traveling by plane cross country on summer vacation this year. It's a twist to the tradition game of memory match-up using family photos.

I have also started working on a Go Fish game using the same concept as the memory game. I love it! The best part about both of these games is that when the girls think they know all of the cards or have it mastered, I simply switch the photos to more recent ones and totally update the game.

Just like Memory, you can have different editions to the game: one with friends from school, maybe one with your doctors, dentists, teachers, fire fighters, police officers, important members in the community. I think seeing faces often helps young children develop a sense of comfort & familiarity. The best part of this DIY game has simply been watching the look on the girls faces as they play the game. That is priceless and it just makes my heart smile!
