Project Life Week Seventeen

Today I am doing a guest post for Project Life Tuesday at The Mom Creative. Head over to her website to check out the post, see other Project Lifer's pages (I don't know if that was or is a word/noun, but I just made it one), and add your link so you inspire others with your creativity as well.

Overview of week seventeen. I use Becky Higgins Photo Pocket Pages Design A as my base pages for each week and vary my insert pages with different photo pocket designs.
Close up of first part of the week.
Front of the Insert                                                       Back of the Insert
Insert is Photo Pocket Pages - Design C trimmed in half. All photos corner rounded.
Close up of the second part of the week.
Title card: I hand wrote the date and used American Craft thickers
Journaling Cards: I like to include my handwriting and when I can get my husband to add a story usually have handwrite it as well. At first I hated my handwriting...but I found the more I practiced it the better I it started to look....
Supplies
Quote Tag:
Clementine Paper
American Craft Thickers Studio Calico Notarized
For this photo I used a couple of instagram pics and movie tickets from our anniversary date night. The background paper is actually a postcard that was in the gift that my husband gave to my on our anniversary.
I used a bi-fold journaling card, but still had more to say so I used another 3x4 journaling card and just stuck it in between the bi-fold card.
I love the new line of Martha Stewart Labels at Staples. The colors are fun and compliment all of the Project Life Collections. Adding a label gives me a little bit more room to tell another piece of the story!

So that's it... week Seventeen. I'm trying to keep things fairly simple. I don't want to over think things. I don't want to take the fun out of Project Life. I want to remember the reason I love Project Life, because life isn't just about celebrating the big moments in our lives.... it's about celebrating the moments in between.... the moments that tell the story of our everyday lives.

Project Life is designed to SIMPLIFY the memory keeping process... don't over think it. You make the rules....it's your album....there are no Project Life Album Police. Make it work for you, so you can be successful!

  1. I found you on The Mom Creative!!! Love your layouts and the little personal additions which make it extra special.

I was wondering...what is the font you used to "write" on the photos?

  2. Hello! I am a regular Mom Creative reader, but have now added you to my google reader. I love your layouts! I have what may be a dumb question, but here it goes. I am new to project life and scrapbooking in general. I love the look of the rounded corners on the photos, but when I do it with mine, I can see the backs of the cards on the opposite side of the page protector. My angles are not exactly the same as the precut ones in the kit. Does this make sense? Do you have any suggestions to prevent this?

  4. Hello! I am a new reader coming to you from the Mom Creative. I love your layouts! I have what is probably a dumb question, but I have just started project life and am new to scrap booking. I love the look of the rounded corners on your photos. When I do mine, I can see the backs of the photos on the opposite side of the page protector because the angles do not match up. Is there a trick to this? I apologize if this posts twice. I was trying to post it from my phone and it didn't appear to work. Thanks!
