Big Projects in the Works

I have to apologize for my lack of posts lately....I have some been working on some big projects that I'm totally excited about and can't wait to share with you....plus with a recently turned 4 year old and almost 3 year old it's difficult trying to figure out a balance of work time and mom time.....not that I'm making excuses....just being real.....I'm not the best at multi-tasking....and I have issues with the need for perfection....something I need to let go of....but that is an entirely separate blog post. I will return soon with a Project Life series of my favorite tutorials, products and tips that have helped me be successful in my Project Life Journey.  And because a post just isn't any good without photos here are a few from Lilykate's 4th birthday party.

I will have a more detailed post about the party later (I promise...too much good stuff not too share!)....but for now....a quick little overview....

My husband and I pre-cut guitars from foam several days before the party.
Birthday guests picked the style of guitar, decorated it, and then chose a strap to customize their guitar.
The kids had a blast making them....and well so did I....

birthday guests rockin out...and totally posing for photos....LOVE IT!!!

I love that I was able to capture this shot at the end of the night of Lilykate playing her new guitar. (It is first "real acoustic guitar" up until now she has just had play guitars) Matt is teaching her how to play chords....it is unbelievable and totally amazes me at how quickly she has caught on to playing. It is music to my ears!

  1. I love the color of her guitar! It's my favorite color blue.

  2. Love the guitars! Such a cute idea and I bet the kids loved taking them home. I have always wanted to learn to play the guitar!

  3. Oh my goodness, if that last photo isn't the cutest thing ever! What a fun party!

I also wanted to thank you for adding my blog to your Project Life inspiration list. It's week two and I'm already in love with it. :)

  4. I'm soooo looking forward to your Project Life posts and videos! They are so inspiring. I shown one of your videos to my mom and now she's ordered her first project life album! What got her about seeing your album was all that you can put in it. Your not bound to 4x6's and just photos. :)

  5. I love the idea of the foam guitars - I would have had a great time as a kid at that party. Oh heck, I'd probably have a good time at this age too :)
