For the past three years at Thanksgiving dinner I have had everyone fill out these thankful cards. The first year I made a mini album for all of the cards. Last year I included them into my project life album and loved how it turned out so I decided to do that again this year.  I used the digital papers and added the strips onto the bottom of each of the cards. I love the color that it added…..something a little different from your traditional Thanksgiving colors.

Because neither of my little girls can write yet I decided to record a video of them discussing the things that they are thankful for….it turned out so cute and I wanted to include it in my album with the rest of the my thankful cards….so I burned the video to a dvd, I used some of the digital paper from the cobalt collection and made a label for the dvd….I added a Cathy Z brush to the front of the DVD…. this was the first time that I had ever made a label for a DVD and it took some trial and error…but I liked the results of the finished product. I used the same digital paper for the background I put into the page protector to make it look seamless. I found these CD/DVD disk holders that are clear and self adhesive. I attached it to the outside of the page protector. The flap on the holder secures the disk and keeps it from moving around…..i’m seriously excited about this little find (the dvd holders that is). I love that I can add videos into my project life albums without worrying that the disk might get damaged!!!! Happy dance!!!

  1. Looks great. I especially love the thankful page. Got to get me some of those Design D's. I must have overlooked them.

  2. Just wondering where you found the adhesive CD/DVD holders? I have a handful I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate into my albums too. Thanks! Love your albums!

  3. What a great idea MaryAnn. Love the sentiments from your family members. So awesome to have a few new perspectives in the album besides your own. Thanks for the inspiration. Love seeing ways to use the different styles of page protectors. Keep it coming!! ;)

  5. Help Maryann.

I have been doing project life for two years, getting ready to start my third. After watching your video early last year of one of your 'volumes', I fell in love with the idea of 12X6 pictures. I used to develope all of my pictures at scrapbookpictures.com. I log onto there today to complete my Nov and Dec uploads and here they have closed there business. Where do you print your photos? I live rural and don't have access to costco, etc., so something online would be great.

    Thanks alot!

  6. Hi,
Great ideas. Please could you give some info on the CD/DVD holders?

I record news items etc on DVD & also CDs that I want to include in my scrapbooks & this would be a great way of doing this.

I live in the uk so probably won't be able to exactly the same thing but something simular.

    Thanks:)
