Photo of the day

I'm so excited look what came in the mail yesterday!!!! This is one of the many advantages of living in Arizona.....Amazon is located here....so we get things pretty darn quick......if you could see me now I'm doing a comical happy dance....I foresee some sleepless nights in my future!!!!

Oh and guess what...... this was my photo of the day for yesterday...... I had to wait until after the girls were asleep before I could play.... but it was worth the wait...... the quality is AMAZING..... I'm impressed... way better than last year.... but the real test will come when I put them into the albums.

So here's the breakdown of what I got:

Big Envelope Pages
Photo Pocket Pages - Big Variety Pack 1 (60 Pages)
Photo Pocket Pages - Big Pack of Design A (60 Pages)
Scrapbook Dividers
Photo Pocket Pages - Design G
6 x 12 Page Protectors
12 x 12 Page Protectors
100 Journaling Cards - 3" x 4" with Grid Design
Project Life Cardstock - Turquoise Collection
Project Life Core Kit - Amber Edition
Project Life Cardstock - Amber Collection

Basically I got all of the new plastics.....so excited to try them out......love the possibilities....love the layered look in my albums..... and I will admit maybe a little overwhelmed with all of the cool stuff that could be done....but in a good way... (again insert a little a happy dance)

I also ordered a set of the redesigned or I should say the new size of journal cards.... to try with all of the new plastics...they just fit a little nicer in all of the plastics.... I found that I use the journaling cards a lot....because I really like having a blank slate so to speak sometimes when I'm doing my journaling.

This year I used the Turquoise Collection so I ordered the coordinating Cardstock to help me complete some projects within my album. I also decided to order the new core kit of the Amber Edition because I have a little idea brewing in the back of my head.....it's just simmering right now....but as it starts to take on a physical form I promise I will share it with you.....

It's a good thing that Cobalt and Clementine are not at Amazon yet because I can not choose which one I want to use for my 2012 Project Life Album......Which one are you going to choose?

  1. Lucky, lucky you. Because I live in Australia we had to pre-order a little while back. I decided on Clementine. :) It is so good to hear you are happy with the quality of the new products. We won't get all our plastics until, the core kits are in stock, so have to wait a little while longer yet. :(

Also, are we going to see more video of your albums, the last video just seemed to cut out if you know what I mean. I love seeing your albums, gives me such inspiration for my own.

Can't wait to start 2012 PL and look forward to seeing what you come up and what you have in store for the amber kit.

  2. Love LOVE your albums. very simple . I love all the layering. You have REALLY inspired me.. I am still waiting on my PL order soon I think im in Denver.....Glad to hear the quality is great.
I do have a question do you do albums for each of your daughters? I am working on my sons birth to 1 album.. hes 3... and my daughter is 6.5 and I have years to go with her till caught up. I am really wondering do your daughters have separte albums or do u.. did u start making albums together when your youngest was born? I am still struggling to figure out how to do this. I am scrapbooking everything the PL way as it will be so much faster and I have LOTS of pictures..But will use favorite pics as I wont do a pic a day but still have same idea....
    Thanks for the inspiration!!
    More videos!! Please!

  5. Oh what a sweet treat! I only have placed an order for the 60 pack mix and Dividers as my budget only lets me get those for right now. I hope I will be able to put another little order in for the Big Envelopes & hoping they are still up for grabs Ha. This year I plan on using Clementine but as far as the binder wondering if I should get the matching binder or use my own we shall see. Love seeing your posts!

  6. Thank you so much for your blog. It has really inspired me. I am just starting with Project Life, after hardly scrapping at all for the last couple of years. It's the perfect fit for me. I love all the ideas I got from you, especially the layering and the 6x12 photos, they look awesome in your album.

I am doing cobalt for POTD 2012. Love the colors and design!

I am doing Clementine for my 12 year old...catching up and filling in the gaps in her "All About Emily." Album from 2005 on.

I am doing Amber for my 10 year old's "All About Ashley" album.

I am doing turquoise for my 6 year old son's, "All About Joey" Album.

For our "All About Us" and "People We Love" I am doing turquoise or amber, whatever I feel inspired to do. Not worried about matching, just want to get some stories told and pictures printed.

I am just doing a couple layouts a month for their albums. Not everything, just the highlights. I also do some Cathy Zielske and Ali Edwards Templates with PhotoShop Elements when I want to "play".

Thanks again, looking forward to more posts.

  7. Exciting!! I'm still waiting for mine in OR. I went nuts on the plastics!! I've gotta be better about completling and staying a bit more caught up. I have 2010 all finished photo wise- just haven't completed the journaling LOL oops!
I am going to get the Clementine core. I'm wanting to use some of my stash within the books too. Now, if I can just get caught up so I can go backwards in time...love this product. And, I love your PL videos too! Keep them coming :) You are, after all the reason I took the jump into PL last year :)

  8. Awesome! You are lucky to live so close. As soon as I order something, I stalk the Fed Ex/UPS man hoping they get here sooner than I expect. I need to get on the ball. Haven't ordered anything yet. Don't want to miss out! I think I'm going with Clementine this year. Call me crazy, but I kinda want this year's Amber too???!!!! Maybe I should just buy one of each every year in case I don't like a future design. Ha Ha Ha! Can't wait to see what you make with your new goodies!

  9. Awesome you got your plastics already! I'll be buying the Clementine edition simply because I love it, but also because I used to be on Lili Niclass' digital design team and she's a good friend. She designed the Clementine edition! :)

  11. I'm new to you blog as well - actually, been stalking you for a little while!! haha! Happy to hear the pocket pages have been improved - excited to order more and more of Project Life!

BEEN WONDERING: have you or anyone else figured out a way to run the journaling cards through the printer - I really like some of the fonts I have rather than using my own handwriting? Been wondering that - LET ME KNOW IF YOU'VE TRIED THIS!

Thanks for all your videos - they've helped me a lot in getting started with my project life.
