2011 Project Life Video

Again I have to apologize for my absence the last couple of months have been quite hectic. It's amazing how a small accident can totally turn your life upside down and inside out. Life is good....I might look a little different and sound a little funny....but that will change with time. I am thankful for so many wonderful blessings in my life including a wonderful and supportive husband and two healthy energetic little girls who fill my days with laughter and fun. Today I have a special treat. A video of my project life album and links to my favorite page protectors......I know your thinking it's about time right??? The video took me a while to do and kinda cuts off abruptly but there will be more in days to come!!! But for now enjoy this....and go and get your page protectors!!!! Happy Shopping!

My Favorite Page Protectors:

  1. I just wanted to say that you are the reason I have so much more in my album! When you posted your 2010 vids I fell in love with the idea of adding more of 'life' via extra page protectors is all sorts of sizes. We are only a 1/4 of the way through the year and with all the extra pages I have added, I am sure I will be completing volume 2 or volume 3 like you did last year. Again, thanks for such a great idea (had it not been for you, I would only have one POTD, and that is fine for some, but I don't want to miss a thing!)!!

  2. Oh my gosh, Maryann! I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you are on the mend :)

I have to completely agree with Christie's comment. I saw your post that Becky featured a while back and was in awe of your awesomeness! You shared so many creative ways to add extras in your album and I have been trying to think "outside the box...er...page protector".

I'm loving PL so much more this year because of your inspirational ideas. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Your video was excellent, and I think I have more shopping to do. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! (and hope you recover quickly and completely!)

  7. Glad to see you are back. I've been checking your blog since first seeing your beautiful PL album through Becky Higgins. Your photos and layouts are quite inspiring. Looking forward to seeing more...
I have one question: I have four children (10,8,6,2) and I struggle with the idea of putting everything in one album. How do you feel about having both your girl's "stuff" in one album, or do you continue to do individual albums for them? Thanks so much for sharing.

  12. I just posted a link for the 4x6 pop up page protector, the only place that I have been able to find that you can get it from is directly from C-line....it's a little more expensive....but if you spend $50 you get free shipping...I just stocked up....and I've been using them like crazy!!! I love them!!!

  20. What a great video!

I am so sorry to hear that you had an accident...I hope you are doing well and have had lots of support!

Seeing your different old school protectors made me drag mine out that have just been hiding away for like 3 or 4 years. Now I know what to use them on! Thanks!

  21. What a wonderful album! I love it! I just ordered my PL kit... I am looking for something to get me moving on scrapbooking after my 3rd baby. Kinda lost my scrapbooking mojo with the 3rd one! Your PL offers lots of inspiration! Do you see yourself doing more than 1 volume this year? Did you buy more than 1 kit in case you spill over into another binder?

  22. Close To My Heart carries 2 types of Flip Flaps. Z4114 has 15-4x6 protectors with adhesive flap. Z1325 has 8 - 12 inch assorted protectors with adhesive flap. I've used the 4 x6 flip flaps and they work just like shown in the video. I just got the 12 inch assorted pack so have not used those yet. You can see photos of the pack on my blog www.crafty-creativity.blogspot.com I also use a product called flip flop fasteners from Boxer Scrapbook Productions, Inc which I purchased from www.ambersscrapattic.com I only use these on the journal cards as they are just clear poly fasteners that allow the cards to flip - great when you need more than one to tell the story!

  23. thanks for posting your ideas...they help inspire! Are the words you print on your pictures from Ali Edwards? How do go about doing that on Picasa? and the collage prints also Picasa? I haven't ever used Picasa but I hear it is good? Thanks. Kim S.

  31. Anja you should be able to view the third part of the 2010 album....I didn't realize it was set to private....thanks for pointing that out to me...it should be fixed now.

  32. I just found you (and this particular post) through Ali Edwards' site. You are AMAZING!!! I bought my Project Life kit for 2010 but didn't end up doing it. Last month I pulled it all out and decided to start trying to take a picture every day from that point forward. I haven't been perfect but I'm getting so excited about doing this. You and your album have really inspired me to think outside the box - I CAN include more than one picture a day and I DON'T have to use the journaling slots only for journaling card!. Thank you so much for the inspiration! Can't wait to look at the rest of your blog.
